Youth Health Talk

YouthHealthTalk
Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act came into place in 2000 and is applicable to all organisations in receipt of Public funding through the government or its agencies. We have a publication list (below) which shows you what information you can request from us under the act which is freely available and lists any costs to you, if any, for requesting this information.

We only charge for our expenses in meeting the request such as photocopying but it is this practice’s policy that any item listed on the publication list is provided to the requestor free of charge. The approved publication list is also on the notice board in the ground floor waiting room. Deadlines: If the item you need is on this list we will happily provide it within 14 days. We will respond to requests for information not on this list within 20 working days. If you request some information which does not fall under the remit of this act we will let you know in writing.

Requests for information for information under the remit of the FOI that will take an excessive amount of work or time to collate may be refused – definitions for what constitutes excessive can be found on the Information Commissioners Office website under Freedom of Information Act at http://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/faqs/freedom_of_information_for_organisations.aspx. This site also contains an FAQ page which may answer your query.

Information covered by this scheme is only about the primary, general or personal medical services we provide under contract to the National Health Service. If not freely available at reception, applications for copies of these publications should be made in writing to the Practice Manager and will be responded to within 20 working days. Information held by the practice which falls under the remit of the Data Protection Act is not available under the Freedom of Information Act.
