The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

During surgery hours

Please call the usual surgery number 01484 500921 and we will provide you with an emergency appointment or home visit depending on your clinical need.

outofhoursWhen the surgery is closed

At night or on a weekend please call the NHS 111 Service on 111 calls to this number are free from landlines and mobiles. This service will be able to book you an appointment or arrange a visit from a GP outside our opening hours although this will not be your usual GP.

In cases of immediate threat to life please dial 999 or go to the nearest hospital casualty. Watch this amusing video illustrating some of the inappropriate things people attend A&E departments with.

Kirklees Walk-in Centre

Kirklees Walk-in centre is in the grounds of Dewsbury Hospital, opposite the main entrance, and offers a nurse led service for minor illnesses and injuries.

The Centre is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 6.30pm.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
