Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.

Marie Curie Cancer Care

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients

Youth Health Talk

Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

In our team we strive to provide an extensive skill mix and patient choice of clinician, when available. We also have staff who are able to speak Urdu, Bengali and Punjabi to help our patients for whom English is not their first language. We are also able to provide interpreter services via a phone link. All of our admin team are also trained in CPR are trained and able to be called assist the clinical staff with the most appropriate gender chaperone.

Nurse Practitioners

Mrs Liz Stringer (f)

We are happy to have Liz complementing our team as a female prescriber and experienced clinician who works with us on a Monday. Liz originally started out with us as a locum in 2012 and were delighted she joined us as a permanent member of staff in 2015.


Mrs Susan Turner (f)

Sue is a very knowledgeable Practice Nurse who has worked part-time for us since January 2000 and also works in Halifax. She is very experienced in the care of Respiratory illnesses and Diabetes.

Mrs Vicky Bhasin (f)

Vicky has joined us from Intensive Care at Leeds General Infirmary, Although she is already a highly qualified nursing sister, she is doing some Primary Care specific training over the next few months to extend her role here with us.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Helen Ecclesby (f)

Helen is our part time Health Care Assistant. She is able to do various diagnostic checks, take blood samples, syringe ears, give adult injections and provide health promotion advice and information. She has been with the practice since 2007 and handles our stock checks, home visits for older people's health checks and flu vaccinations.
