Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.

Marie Curie Cancer Care

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients

Youth Health Talk

YouthHealthTalk
Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

In our team we strive to provide an extensive skill mix and patient choice of clinician, when available. We also have staff who are able to speak Urdu, Bengali and Punjabi to help our patients for whom English is not their first language. We are also able to provide interpreter services via a phone link. All of our admin team are also trained in CPR are trained and able to be called assist the clinical staff with the most appropriate gender chaperone.

Practice Management

Mrs Sally Rees (f)

The Practice Manager is responsible for the administrative side of the Practice. If you have a complaint or a non medical problem, please ask to see her and she will be happy to help. Sally has been with the Practice since 2007 and has managed us through many changes and improvements over that time. She is also a Dementia Champion and Dignity Champion. Sally also has a place on the Practice Managers Reference Group supporting the strategic work of Greater Huddersfield CCG. 

Reception

Mrs Sheena Haigh (f)

Sheena is a very experienced administrator who also deals with our in-house clinical audits. She has been with the team since 2003 and is very capable and efficient. Sheena is also our Carer's Champion and is proactive in making sure our patients with Learning Disabilities are reviewed and supported.

Mrs Victoria Doran (f)

Victoria has been with the practice since 2003 and handles our children immunisations and long term condition invitations. You will find her very helpful and efficient and she regularly goes the extra mile for our patients.

Mrs Lesley Bamforth (f)

Apart from her reception duties, Lesley meticulously cares for the Cervical Smear service administration, our Diabetes register and the PPA and monthly claims. She has been with the practice since 2006.

Miss Rhian Savage (f)

Rhian has been doing some work experience with us while doing her qualification in Health & Social Care at New College. She has adapted well to the challenges of being on the front line of Primary Care. Rhian designs our monthly campaign boards and helps administer the Friends & Family Test.

Miss Ruby Begum (f)

Ruby has been with us since 2014, she started as an apprentice and stayed on with the practice once she qualified and has been an excellent addition to the Reception Team. Ruby project manages our Friends and Family Test, Patient Participation Boards and monthly awareness campaign displays. She is very helpful and speaks several languages including Urdu, Bengali and a little Punjabi too.
