Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients

Youth Health Talk

Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment

In our team we strive to provide an extensive skill mix and patient choice of clinician, when available. We also have staff who are able to speak Urdu, Bengali and Punjabi to help our patients for whom English is not their first language. We are also able to provide interpreter services via a phone link. All of our admin team are also trained in CPR are trained and able to be called assist the clinical staff with the most appropriate gender chaperone.

Nurses

Pav Kaur (f)

Nure Pav is a recent addition to the team and we are delighted to have her experience and skills for our patients. She is qualified to provide long term condition reviews, immunisations and vaccinations, cervical cytology testing, blood and urine testing as well as ECGs, breath tests, travel advice and health promotion advice.

Healthcare Assistants

Helen Ecclesby (f)

Helen is our part time Healthcare Assistant. She is able to do various diagnostic checks, take blood samples, syringe ears, give adult injections and provide health promotion advice and information. She has been with the practice since 2007 and handles our stock checks, home visits for older people's health checks and flu vaccinations.

Ruby Begum (f)

Ruby is currently undertaking training as a Healthcare Assistant and has a New Patient Clinic on a Tuesday morning. She is also able to do blood pressure checks and blood tests on adult patients.
